Guest Lecture at the CGL - 2024
In May 2024, I had the opportunity to give a guest lecture at the Cologne Games Lab (CGL), which is affiliated with the Technical University of Cologne.
The content of the guest lecture was to give students an understanding of the work of a storyboard artist and to highlight the central role of storyboards and animatics during the production process of an animated film, whether it be a feature film or an episode of a series.
The extensive question and answer session that followed showed me that I hadn’t completely bored the young people to death. Which made me very happy.

Shum Bola in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan - 2024
In April 2024, I received an invitation from IFF Schlingel to visit the Shum Bola film festival in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with a small group of German filmmakers to show German children’s and youth films to local audiences in four different cities (including the capitals Dushanbe and Tashkent).
I was given the unique opportunity to answer questions about the film “The Amazing Maurice” as a representative of the production team. This is an opportunity that is usually reserved for producers and directors, not for ordinary artists.
And what can I say, it was wonderful!
It was a great experience to answer questions from children (both young and old) and chat a little about how an animated film is made.
